What is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy [ CBT ]
With cognitive behavioral therapy, you work with a mental health counselor in a structured way, attending a limited number of sessions. This therapy helps you become aware of inaccurate or negative thinking, so you can view challenging situations more clearly and respond to them in a more effective way.
How it works ?
To cure mental illness, this therapy changes our thinking pattern. Thoughts in our mind give shape to our emotion and all these get reflected in our behavior, so if you have negative thoughts in your mind it will create confusion in mind and leads to stress. You will become aware about negative thoughts and it teaches you how to control these thoughts. It leads to development of new method of thinking which reduces friction between emotion and behavior and reduces stress.
